ICE's Free Speech Fiasco in Upstate New York David Streever, a US citizen from upstate New York, has filed a lawsuit against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for sending officers to his house after he emailed Todd Lyons, then the acting director of ICE, criticizing the agency's actions.
The email referenced a Nazi leader and expressed outrage over the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis resident by an ICE officer.
According to Adam Steinbaugh, an attorney with the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, Streever's email is "very clearly within the protection of the first amendment.
